Access to our Courts is a Constitutional Right, for AOG-BTG members & Pastors!
The joint National Leadership of the Assemblies of God Back to God (made up of the Teaching Team and the Executive Committee), have repeatedly flouted the governing instruments of the church i.e the Constitution of Assemblies of God Southern Africa(The Blue Book) and the Rules of Procedure of Assemblies of God Back to God(The Gold Book) with impunity.
Two consecutive elective conferences collapsed because the Teaching Team violated the principle of separation of powers by assuming an administrative function at conference to impose their wishes. The Appointed Interim Transitional Committee and subsequently the newly elected Executive Committee have continued in the same trajectory of violating the same governing instruments to achieve their predetermined outcomes in church processes.
An unconstitutional Resolution 3 of 2018 has been used to expel a Pastor for approoching the courts of the land to seek redress. This same resolution has not even been duly incorporated into the rules of procedure to legally form part of the governing instruments for discipline, its unconstitutionality not withstanding.
Allowing the National Leadership to violate the churches rules of procedure, the churches constitution and the constitution of the land will set a precedence that will usher in draconian rule that not only disregards the churches own governing instruments, the constitution of the country but the very supreme law that governs the church, The Holy Bible.
Let us stand together and say #Notonourwatch #No2unconstitutionalresolution #No2draconianrule

If something has followed the process of justice, truthfulness and righteousness, it should never be an issue to have it reviewed by any system, including the courts. The truth does not need to be defended, it can defend itself.
