Petition to Fellow South Africans

There are too many middlemen between our tax money and our fellow citizens, the results being a country impoverished.

We need to urgently create and support more spaces and interventions that allow for positive environments where our youth dare to dream! Just see what a simple cycle club did for team #GautaBMX

Please take a stand today, sign and share this call to your friends and family if you agree that the ultimate solution for South Africa lies in social and mental health intervention.

Current Key Challenges:

  • 23% of children in SA experience severe food poverty
  • 50% of South African teenagers are consuming alcohol with 13% of boys doing so before the age of 13.
  • Suicide is the second leading cause of death among young people aged 15-24.
  • Bullying is on the rise in SA with 3,2 million learners being bullied yearly(2024)
  • Increasing and geographically expanding gang activity and subsequent recruitment of youth

What We Want to Achieve:

A country where young people from all economic backgrounds have access to activities that :

  • Allow them plentiful access to positive and safe spaces
  • Help to build mental resilience
  • Help them to form strong connections based on empathy and compassion

How you can help:

  • Sign,share or donate to create awareness and ensure that the funding goes to grassroot NPO's who are toiling every day despite total lack of funding.
  • Volunteer your time to assist smaller NPOs working in this sphere, there are many ways you can help them.
  • Pay attention to the warning signs of a child in need and take the time to act.

The funds from this call are ringfenced for Braveheart Outreach for Children NPC who use Equestrian Therapy as part of their approach.
